Der in Stuttgart lebende Saxophonist Lukas Wögler bewegt sich zwischen Jazztradition und offener Klangforschung. In seinen Komposition und in seinem Saxophonspiel beschäftigt sich Lukas Wögler mit weiten emotionalen Räumen. Authentizität und die eigene Stimme stehen hierbei im Vordergrund.
2000 geboren, begann Wögler mit Blockflöte seinen musikalischen Weg. Mit 11 Jahren wechselte er zu Saxophon. Erste Erfahrungen sammelte Wögler bei den Jazz Juniors BW dem Landesjugendjazzorchester BW unter Rainer Tempel und im Jungstudium bei Alexander Sandi Kuhn. 2018 folgte ein Bachelor Studium an der HMDK Stuttgart bei Christian Weidner. Neben Weidner lernte Wögler während des Studiums bei Fabian Arends, Heidi Bayer, Rainer Tempel, Christoph Neuhaus, Sebastian Gille, Robert Landfermann.
Lukas Wögler war 2023 für den Landesjazzpreis Baden Württemberg nominiert und war 2022-2024 Teil des Bundesjugendjazzorchester.
Neben seinem eigenen Quartett spielt und spielte er mit Samuel Restle Bigband, Lisa Wilhem Quartett, Eddy Sonnenschein, Sofia Wills VOLO, Samuel Restle Oktett, Tobias Becker Bigband, Sunday Night Orchestra, NEEVE, Still Sane, JazzatLarge, Bandinthebix, etc. Mit diesen Projekten und mehr ist Wögler in verschiedensten Genres auf Bühnen, Festivals und Clubs in ganz Deutschland und weit darüber hinaus unterwegs.

Saxophonist Lukas Wögler, based in Stuttgart, moves between jazz tradition and sonic exploration. His compositions and saxophone playing delve into wide emotional landscapes, always driven by a search for authenticity and a personal musical voice.
Born in 2000, Wögler began his musical journey on the recorder before switching to saxophone at the age of eleven. Early formative experiences included the Jazz Juniors BW, the State Youth Jazz Orchestra of Baden-Württemberg under the direction of Rainer Tempel, and a pre-college program with Alexander "Sandi" Kuhn. In 2018, he began his bachelor's studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart (HMDK) with Christian Weidner. He also studied with Fabian Arends, Heidi Bayer, Christoph Neuhaus, Sebastian Gille, Robert Landfermann, and Rainer Tempel.
In 2023, Wögler was nominated for the Baden-Württemberg State Jazz. Prize and was a member of
the German National Youth Jazz. Orchestra (BuJazzO) from 2022 to 2024.
Alongside his own quartet, he has performed with the Samuel Restle Bigband, Lisa Wilhelm Quartet, Eddy Sonnenschein, Sofia Wills' VOLO, Samuel Restle Octet, Tobias Becker Bigband. Sunday Night Orchestra, NEEVE, Still Sane, JazzatLarge, Bandinthebix, among others. With these and other projects, Wögler performs on stages, at festivals, and in clubs throughout Germany and beyond.
